چکیده

There is evidence in the literature to suggest that low back pain may change spine–pelvis coordination during activities of daily living. This study aimed compare variability sit-to-stand people with and without LBP. Ten healthy individuals a history LBP ten participated this study. Three-dimensional kinematic data upper trunk (UT), lower (LT), (LB), pelvis segments stand-to-sit were recorded using multi-segmental spine models motion capture system. The patterns adjacent (UT, LT, LB, pelvis) calculated modified vector coding method was implemented through custom MATLAB code. An independent sample t-test utilized assess differences pattern, statistical parametric mapping used quantify between two groups. results indicate there are some groups stand-to-sit. However, significant difference only observed sit-to-stand. showed can alter kinematics even (pain-free) parts by changing UT LT way lead an increase loading on these segments. Additionally, more sit-to-stand, which be associated strategy facilitates optimal possibly pain-free pattern.

Study of acceleration of center of mass during sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit in patients with stroke

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to compare the center of mass during sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit activities in the timed up and go test between healthy subjects and patients with stroke. [Subjects and Methods] Thirty healthy participants and thirty patients with stroke volunteered for this study. Acceleration of the center of mass was measured using a wireless tri-axial accelerometer ...

A Fuzzy Controller for Lower Limb Exoskeletons during Sit-to-Stand and Stand-to-Sit Movement Using Wearable Sensors

Human motion is a daily and rhythmic activity. The exoskeleton concept is a very positive scientific approach for human rehabilitation in case of lower limb impairment. Although the exoskeleton shows potential, it is not yet applied extensively in clinical rehabilitation. In this research, a fuzzy based control algorithm is proposed for lower limb exoskeletons during sit-to-stand and stand-to-s...

Sit to Stand Detection and Analysis

The ability to rise from a chair is a prerequisite for independent ambulation. Difficulty rising from a chair, moreover, is an indicator of balance deficits likely to result in a fall. In this paper we present preliminary work to affordably detect sit to stand strategies associated with balance impairment using web cameras. The long term goal is to create systems that can monitor functional mov...
